What you can find in dumpsters

So I don't really go out of my way to go diving in dumpsters, but...When I take out the trash at my apartment complex I always make a point to take a peek. I took out the trash last night and I happened to know one of the neighbors is moving out, and realized that there was an unusual amount of black bags in the dumpster. I ripped one open and sure enough there was some good stuff that I started pulling out. All in all I think I spent a good two hours out there going through these bags. Some of the stuff I found was a brand new fan in a sealed box, a bag of beanie babies, a couple bags of name brand purses, vintage board games, old gameboy advanced with a bunch of games, a brand new dog bed, a bunch of jewelry some I know is silver others I'm pretty sure is gold, a bag with ten dollar coins in it...There was bags upon bags of good looking clothes that I wish I could pull out to sell or even drop off at the local Goodwill(but I just don't got the time or room for it). There was a brand new pair of Ugs that I gave to my mom. Oh and a sleep apnea machine, don't know if I'll be able to sell that or not. Just wanted to share my find, it's pretty close to my best yet.

Hey mechanic when I tried to use the attachments tool, it says that picture is to big of a file. Only 200 bites allowed? Ever run into that?

Last summer I was walking my dogs at night and came across a dumpster, I peeked inside and found a diaper box of mostly brass inside. It was very late so I didn't look anymore, but I went back early in the morning. To my surprise I found a lot more brass, some aluminum, 2 stainless pots, wires, and a lot of shred(Metal cabinets and low grade electronics). 2 days later I was bringing all the non ferrous to the yard and happened upon another dumpster, some people were cleaning out a house that was flood damaged and it was full of metal inside. A few lbs of copper, even more brass, a lot of wiring, a few aluminum window frames, and more shred. I took all that stuff and brought it to the yard along with my other stuff and got $300. The next day I went back to the house and picked up the fridge and stove from the house for another $30. They were very old very heavy 60's type appliances. I would've also gotten a microwave, washing machine, and air conditioner but someone had jumped the fence and stolen them before I got there.

I found a machine that is used for making ID's, probably could sell it for a lot but most likely wouldn't be legit. It has a lot of boards inside. Also found a black garbage bag that I first though had very large bananas in it, but it turned out to be a dead albino python snake that was at least 4' long. I jumped out a started freaking out like a little gurlie man.

Why would people throw away jewelry?? Either to spite someone or its hot!! Or people are just lazy or don't want the emotional baggage that comes with the jewelry (makes them sad instead of mad)??

Here's a picture of it right here, It looks almost brand new- has like six games and all the original packaging with it, a pretty bad ass score.

I don't get it either Dakota, it was a lady in her early 60s and she was moving out of her apartment. I think what it is is that people are just too lazy to try to resale or even drop it off at the goodwill. It's much quicker to throw everything away...Although I still don't agree with it all the material items can kind of make sense if your just lazy and don't want to take it with you but what really baffles me was that she literally threw away money, no kidding. I pulled a ziplock bag out with 10 dollars in dollar coins!! lol
