Possible multiple paydays coming in the next few weeks

As a newbie scrapper I don't have much to go on starting out as I don't have clients or leads yet (and yes, I know I have to go out and find them, lol). However, my stepmom just inherited a bunch of properties, one of which used to be an appliance store and then later an auto parts store/garage. We drove 1.5 hours to get to the shop and it had a BUNCH of old "junk" in there as my stepmom says. There were a few large pieces of mechanical equipment that need several men to move. I'm guessing there is at least 1,500 pounds of metal just in the old equipment. I walked around the corner to another area of the shop and found two old Wurlitzer Music speakers from 1942 I believe. They are in perfect condition and they just need to be cleaned up. I looked them up on the internet and they are highly collectible and I can probably get a minimum of $400 for each one. I walked around another corner and there was a small parts room that had many car parts still in the original boxes. I'm guessing the parts are from the 50's up to the early 80's ($$$). Anyway, my stepmom will pay me to clean up the place and I get to keep any money from scrapping anything of value. Oh, and she is giving me the speakers. I'm going there tomorrow to start cleaning up. I'll take pics and post them.

WoW, sounds like a blast. NOS auto parts could be good stuff and hopefully there's not much there that can be affected by corrosion from humidity (they probably haven't been in a climate controlled situation for a while). I bought some model airplanes turbo booster or something like probably from the 1980s last year at an estate sale. The only one I saw recently completed on ebay went for over $30. The problem with mine was they had sat in a dank basement for a couple of years after the owner had died and electronic pieces had some corrosion. Nobody would touch them, even when I offered all 3 of them at once for $5+ in the end. Now there in my things to scrap pile...
