This is the worst advice ever...........Craigslist is a great tool and has opened tons of avenues for me as well as many others..........

If your not selling stolen goods why worry about who is monitoring CL..........I will defend CL to the bitter end...........

I've never heard of a Snap so I can,t tell you much about it, Gamers some times buy servers to build super gamer computers l so Craig's list is a good Ideal place to start.

It is rare to get a server with hard drives so it could bring a premium price by premium I mean $50 to $100 over Normal used price.

DO NOT TEAR INTO IT Until you have an idea of whole value. It does appear by the missing screws on the case it has been opened. you might pull the top off to check for obvious missing parts. it looks like a Cisco clone. Some companies like IBM and Cisco will sell their product clones under a cheaper name.

What type of screws are holding the case together, slotted, star, or Phillips ?

OK SIMPLE EBAY SEARCH resulted in NOTHING for this server in solds (again ebay and google are your friends for pricing and demand for EVERYTHING)

Basically this thing is a pretty **** old NAS appliance (14 yearsish)...I am doubting ANYONE will want this unless they collect...and it really isn't old enough for that most likely. I would scrap it personally and I sell **** near EVERYTHING I can on Ebay. I just have found that servers with some age end up not moving, EVER. SOMETIMES I can get some parts to move on some slightly older models, but not often. Just my opinion, but I also have worked with computers a LONG time and specialize in Ewaste. Mikeinreco knows his stuff too, so you can always take a shot on CL and/or ebay (ebay will give you a MUCH BROADER marketplace)...but I would bet it ends up being scrapped in the end.

Thanks man..........Personally I would scrap the **** thing after a quick Ebay search........As far as CL goes it is a great avenue to sell items and don't pay attention to what the other guy said.........If never used CL before just read all the Terms of Use ETC...ETC.....Accept CASH only and meet in a public place..........CL is one of the few sites out there that has not been taken over by Pop-Ups or advertising

Sorry to the OP for this getting side tracked.........I would scrap the unit and be done with it......Nice score as far as scrap goes

Shipping that server would kill any profit on Ebay, in my opinion. If it tests good, I would try it on Craigslist. Craigslist is a great tool and has been a great way for me to make cash locally. It's not 100% safe, nothing is, but use some common sense and good judgment and you can make money with Craigslist. I've actually been burned more times using Ebay...

Any one with any sense knows NOTHING is 100% safe. Keep diggin , the hole is gettin deeper.

That was the point I was trying to argue. It didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but then again, nothing ever does.

Don't argue then. Give your OPINION, state the facts, and move on.

To the OP- maybe not for this server but for future items you may find. List whatever you find that still works on cl at $10-$20 more than what you are willing to take for the item. Whoever answers the ad is most likely going to haggle a bit. Leave yourself some haggle room. Has always worked for me.

As far as getting scammed or the danger of using Cl, use your head. Meet in a public place, let someone at home know where you are going to meet the person, bring a friend or relative with you(safety in numbers), never meet at night, and if you are licensed to carry then carry.
