    See you soon

It is kind of hard to say goodbye to a group of people that have helped me so much in such a short period of time. The straw that broke the back was the explosions of the shop which some of you were able to read about.

I can no longer in good faith participate in this forum because I am no longer up holding the principles of keeping everything electronic waste in house.

While all of the new contracts I was able to sign in the past two weeks uphold the international standards of electronic waste for the international community they do not uphold the principles of this form.

I respect all of the members of this form which is why I will no longer participate in it however the money is just too **** good. These contracts are not grey area all are legal.

wish the best for all of you

Sorry to hear CWM!! I enjoyed the shop explosion story (although probably more than you did!!)

Did I miss something...??? You guys that run actual full time businesses were you required to sign some pledge to be on this forum that wouldn't ship any of your scrap off-shore or didn't know what happened to it "down-stream" or otherwise you can't participate?? Sure, I think its a great goal that less fortunate people shouldn't be taken advantage of but if that's the standard, then you better stop buying most things retail and make things yourself or only from known craft people and producers because that's not how the global economy works. None of us here in North America don't have at least a few things in our home that wasn't made with cheap sweat labor or child labor or dangerous working conditions. Sure, I don't like it and I try to make choices when possible but to say any of us are as pure as Snow White is hypocritical bulls***.

Now CWM probably has a lot more honor than I do and if its own choice to leave the forum because of his new business deals so be it. Everybody has to walk in their own skin. But he shouldn't feel like he has to leave...

dude....noone here should say a word to you....sometimes the money is just that...you have to take care of yourself. If some stuff gets shipped overseas, then what can you do.....you did not create the labor cost disparity. Hell most of the things we love to buy are made there anyways, so shipping the materials that will be remade is smart anyways. Yes, I know some of the stuff is bad...I can't fix your country's lack of regulation...not my circus, not my monkeys.

You do what you feel is best for you and screw anyone else. They don't pay your bills. I do the best I can to keep stuff stateside, but one of my places for my lower grade stuff...bet he is shipping out. Don't really have a choice as the stuff has to get recycled and I have to get paid.

My 2 cents for what it is worth.

Not to sound dumb. But I thought everything eventually is shipped overseas. I always thought the best buyers were overseas. Please correct me if I am wrong.

My plastic buyer was griping about the last load I took in about it being dirty and having to ship the load overseas.
