I can't tell you how awesome it is to see a new person come here and within a few weeks score big on some ewaste. And I don't feel that you 'got lucky'. You came here seeking knowledge and you found it and now it's paying off.
Now, how 'bout them pics?
I haven't got to my house yet to be able to use my computer to upload the pictures.... and for some reason the "attach" feature keeps giving me an error when I try to do it from my phone. I saw the embed a link option but that kept giving me a blank square. I'm going to try to fiddle with it a little now.
Like I said, I haven't gone home yet to get the full spectrum of my bounty but here are a few pictures.... let me know what you guys think.
is the back of the truck.
The front part of the bed is all computers. They are old, but dude said 90% of them are functional-ish.
The back seat has those boxes and cords I was talking about. Plus 6 flat screen dell monitors that were broken. Those are circa 2001. I know because I JUST broke down the one I had from when I was a Cadet at USMA. Literally... it was my first thing after reading this site .. it was damaged from my last move.
Those black box looking things on the top are the old school 16-port digicomms for like a call center, which this was.
And I got anxious and decided to Crack open one of the boxes.... inside I found power supplies, MOBOs (condition unknown until I can get home and test them), and scattered throughout ONE BOX.... these little gems.
That's over 60 RAM (assorted sizes mostly 256) in that picture and I know there are more in the other boxes.
Thoughts? Comments? More advice? Thanks guys!!
Not as pretty as all that stuff in your truck, lol
METAL IS MY MISTRESS...PLEASE DON'T TELL MY WIFE!
I believe you've have accomplished more in the few weeks you've been here then some people have in the 9 months they've been here.
I need to go now and explain to my better half why I was drooling at my computer.
"I was looking at circuit board pics. I swear it was circuit boards!"
