Won 4 Powered Pallet Jacks at Auction

I won one for 30.00 and 3 at 45.00 each. They are older units with a 4000 lbs max load.
The batteries on these are dead but they were still included, although no chargers were included.
I figure that in just battery scrap I am already ahead of what I payed, These batteries are big weighing in at 67lbs each and 3 of the units had 4each.
The pallet jacks each probably weigh 5 or 600 lbs even after the batteries are taken out.
Has anyone ever scrapped a power pallet jack before?
    Thanks, Stlscrapper

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I haven't, but check into seeing if they have resalable parts.

I've been advised to drain hydraulic cylinders before scrapping them for the safety of downstream processors. Not sure if that is an old scrapping wives tale or not, but I do it anyway.

Are they older used units or are they NOS? If they are unused, I might try to get batteries for one and sell it to get batteries for the others... Cha Ching!

They are older units. It is 3 Yale units and 1 Big Joe. I found someone that is gonna buy the Big Joe unit for $150.00 to repair.
The other 3 units I think I a gonna put on craigslist with a make offer and see if anyone would be interested.
If they don t sell in a few days off to the scrap yard they go.

Good for you guys Im pretty jealous to hear all the big catches you have, IM just catching 300 to 500 a day of debit hoping I can continue my scrap dreams! God is good, this Armour building time here for Stillwater. Im going to need a real money man to dig myself of out this hole Im in.

Anyone want to buy batteries! Aaron.

The pallet jacks are worth good money, you could run them with two used auto batteries and the parts are stupid expensive actually insaine for new parts what you just sold that big joe for is about that much for the small wheel in front, no bearings no labor!!
