    Scrappin WYSE vx0 terminal

Very new to the board. I recently came into possession of a box full of 14 WYSE VX0 THIN CLIENT TERMINALS. Never heard or seen anything like them before. Suposedly they link to ur server maybe and act just like a computer but small and portible. Question is.
Does anybody know about them or theor scrap value. Theres a pretty cool board inside and large heat sink as well as one 256 ram

    Pictures soon to come

Before I tear anything down I always make sure to check eBay before ripping one apart.

They look pretty small, and mainly plastic. A single stick of RAM is ~.5 oz which comes out to ~$0.34 at $11/lb and you (probably) have a half pound high yield board at ~$1/lb yielding ~$0.50. Then youve got the heatsink for a dime maybe? With the wire you're looking still at under $1 per unit ripped apart (plus you have a box of plastic to deal with now).

I would put 10 up on eBay for $49, hoping for a quick sale and make my money that way. That's just me.

Check this out: WYSE VX0 THIN CLIENT TERMINALS | eBay

Not super popular, and I'm not sure if yours are new enough to be in demand (256mb is pretty slow...). Still worth a shot. I'd rather have $40 after shipping than $14 and a bunch of plastic to throw out if I don't have to.

Yeah i was already Starting to do my research on ebay. doesnt look like they are highly popular. Lots of listings varying in price just didnt look like many were selling. Price point and quantity to get a quick sell would be critical. I got them free from a school who never used them so your right on 40 in my pocket better than a mess around the house and a lincoln

I'd toss them up with some nice pics and see what they do.

If they don't sell in 2 weeks at the sweet price of $3-4 a pop then take the hour to pop em open - I would do it the day of trash night. Throw the junk right in the bin and wheel it to the end of the driveway before your wife wants to know why there's a pile of plastic in the garage.
