    Free snowmobile.. A bit sketchy??

Free snowmobile? Hot or just in someone's way or getting back at someone??

I suppose someone could scrap it down fast if they wanted but it might not be worth the potential hassle...

    a bit sketchy??

hard to say what it is. rarely when they are junk or parts you can get them for nothing.

pull serial on it and get bill of sale with it and the dl or id number on state issue id card add for good measure. wouldnt touch it otherwise.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

The link is removed, so I guess someone claimed it. But, free stuff can be a grey area.

I'm leery of things like that- I'd have taken the serial number and photos to the police department first. Of course, once you've done all of that, it hardly seems worth it anymore

For free? I would have tried to get it. I would have asked for the title (if they title snowmobiles) and done a check before I scrapped or repaired. Many times people get rid of things they are sick of looking at for free just to get rid of it. They also may think they would have to pay someone to get rid of a non running snowmobile.

Well, the ad lasted less than 2 hours. I think it was in a small town near here. Hopefully, someone is happy....

P.S. Very little "pay me to take your junk" type of action that I know of around here. I think its both a western Midwest cultural thing and not having a large population base.

Could have been a joke on someone. My Dad was selling his fourwheeler, and one of the guys in his office had it up on Kijiji for him, and after my Dad pulled a joke on him, he dropped the bike down to $300 (worth about $1500). Our phones were ringing off the hook, and we had to shut them off until the next day when the ad went down
