There is a method to do a poll on this website where individuals can click an option without having to make post. Wish I could tell you how.

Not much choice here. The closest fast food joint is 50 miles from the house. The closest bar and grill is 14 miles. When I go out to eat, it is a big deal.
Give back more to this world than we take.

I avoid fast food when I can. The usual type that is..Mcd's, Wendy's, Burger King, fast food joints, etc.

I do admit to buying subs tho from two local places an one chain. I can justify it as I get two meals out of one, it's good, quality ingredients, etc. I don't do it often tho. I'm more likely to skip lunch an just eat dinner. an yes I have coolers a plenty but they are for important items like beverages. Food doesn't keep my thirst down during the hot days. Cold beverages do.

So include an option for those like me in your poll. If I do eat out it's a sub, from places that use good quality ingredients, an no..I don't do Subway. I want ham..I get ham, not turkey ham, turkey salami, etc...I want turkey I get turkey. Grr.

Turkey Bacon is the anti-christ. You've been warned.

You would have to use a winch and chains to get me into a McDonalds. I do eat at Taco Johns sometimes when I'm on trips, but that's about it. I cook lunch in my office. My mother still works in town, so the two of us sit down to a nice meal, and watch a WKRP rerun. It's much better than Burger King, is cheaper, and doesn't make me feel sick later that afternoon.

Here's the thing about Mcdonalds, taco bell, wendys...no matter the name their all serving you crap that is no good for you.

I'm not preaching mind you. I'll gladly admit now an then I take advantage of the $1 big mac deals. I just don't do it every day. I see no difference in a McD's burger or a Burger King one. I got a buddy. He rants against Mc'ds all the time, but he'll still goto Wendy's or Burger King. Just cause it looks prettier, doesn't mean it's any better for you.

Now a Five Guys type place...I think they are healthier, as they use better meat. Nor do they let the burgers cook then sit, or get microwaved(Hello Burger King!), etc. I'm sure we all have our burger spots that do it that way.

It's whatever tho. Nobody gets out of life alive, might as well enjoy it.

Agreed. I think McDonalds salts stuff heavier, but it's all in a race for the bottom.

Taco Johns is fine once every few weeks when I'm on the road and can't really cook in the truck. But, eating it every day? Not gonna happen!

    I think I'm a better cook. Of course, I don't use 42% meat product.

That wasn't a 5 guys burger in the pic.

An yes Mcdonalds will use a microwave also. I've only seen it in their little stores..the pop up stores as I call them. I don't see them much any more. Good thing, food really sucked coming out of there. LOL. I pick on burger king cause they do it all the time. My local MCds doesn't. You can tell by the taste, an look, etc if your food has been zapped.

Like Matador said tho..it's all a race to the bottom. None of it's good for you, sure it taste's great(whichever fast food is your guilty pleasure)but it's still bad for you.

    Hobo..where's is my Eegee's? <insert angry face here>

I'm a pizza fan, mostly because I have to minimize intake of certain foods. I like burgers too but the soy in fast food burgers is fast tracking my guts to the john so to speak.

As for cost? Well like all things money related in my life I figured out that if you eat out at fast food joints OR eat in pre packaged foods, they cost nearly the same. It's when you start to involve assembly, baking, frying, actual cooking does a meals cost go down significantly. Either way, Sams Club and Woodmans are my local favorite places to get food.

Speaking of Sams Club, I do absolutely love the Costco hot dogs. They're great tasting, and healthier than most of the fast food out there.

For me, I'd rather spend the time cooking to save some money. Cooking is just relaxing to me. The added health and good feelings after the meal are just low-fat gravy if you will.

It might be bad for you but does it in reality effect you? Not really all these people prove it that they eat it every meal everyday. I have fast food once or twice a week and I would say its cheaper than packing or cooking at home. For example 2 burgers and a fry for 3.20. Just your electricity for heating your oven or whatever is going to be a $1 plus time and your own food.

My office includes unlimited electricity and Internet, so no big deal there. Who wants to have a LAN party?

I've had the $0.99 burgers before. As an ironic advert would say, "Where's the beef?"

Schedules depend, but for me, spending an hour with family is definitely worth it. Plus, I still think that I can cook better fish, tacos, or cheeseburgers than the fast food places can.

I love BJ's. Their Pizookies are off the chain.

If I every go to McD's I only get the grilled chicken. Figured it was the nearest thing to healthy there. Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich, fried. Costco is the spot I usually go if am not packing lunch. $1.60 for soda & dog. $9.99 for 18" pizza. You don't even need a membership to eat there. I read an article about Costco and how they have opened stores all over the world. The number one item sold at the store was listed for whatever country. Though every country listed the same response about the food court, "it's a steal"!

Lol ... love the graphic but it's a busy life here.

I'm usually up at 4:00 am every morning, fix lunch, shower, and then it's off to work on my regular job. Work days run 9-10 hrs and i eat lunch on the fly. My wife is an amazing cook so we rarely go out to eat. The food is better at home.

I get a couple of days off a week. Generally sleep in till 5:00am and then start scrapping in the shop for a little extra money. Helps pay for the luxuries like heating fuel in the winter. Sometimes i have to go in to the regular job if there's work that can only be done when the place is closed.

No complaints here. It's a good life.
