    Need some help !

Politics has creeped into my county school program. (whoda guessed it.)

The guys brought the first truck load Thursday and said they couldn't get the next load until Tuesday. Later this week end Kyle tells me we can't start again until the 18th(Hmmmmm, something doesn't smell right here).

Long story short, Turns out that suddenly our contract has to be approved by the school board, This is not unusual in dealing with school systems since they are the incubators for many of those politically inclined (baby politicians) and the bastion of red tape and the training ground of bureaucrats That said looks like some one on the inside has other plans or has a friend that does.

So I need a favor from those so inclined. I want to flood the school board meeting with references. I do not want to blow smoke, but simple
references of my long standing reputation from those Ive done business with here and references to my standing as a member of this community.

You can post them here (they will be presented at the school board meeting so lets keep them civil ) or you can email them to mcwhelp@gmail.com or pm them. thanks in advance Michael C Wier, EcoSafe Asset Recovery Systems

P.S. I cant use my 2 banking contracts or military contractors because of non disclosure agreements

It wont break my hart or me if I don't get this contract it just irks me when politics enters the game.

I do not expect business references from those I have not done business with. personal reference regarding longevity on the forum, knowledge of the e recycling business etc, would be great.

I would recommend removing most of your post if this site is going to be used as a source of references.

You haven't given us enough information to give you a recommendation.

First thing that comes to my mind is that the tender for the school contract is the possibility that the tender was not advertised or offered publicly so I can understand why the school board would have concerns with not having awarded to the highest bidder.

Sorry, I could not in good conscience give you a business recommendation.

Also could not find any web reference or telephone number to your company, EcoSafe Asset Recovery Systems

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to keep that in mind. What I would do is actually revert back to your old username. Create a new EcoSafe account for your son to use as a fresh account would be better to represent your business name.

I understand not giving a business reference and would not expect one from some one I have not done business with. But a personal reference such as longevity here and knowledge of the e business is kind of what I was looking for.

yea usually around here all public school stuff is put up for auction to the public.........I figure the reason being is that alot of it was purchased with tax-payers money and they have to offer it to the public in some form or fashion

    .
Is it at all possible that the school board meeting is nothing more than a formality ? Three or four minutes of business while they rubber stamp something and then it's off to the next item on the agenda that they have to vote on ?

Less discussion and less attention they give the matter the more things go through smoothly ?

    Just a thought.

Is there anyone on the school board that specifically has it in for you -or- is it more a feeling of general unease about the situation ?

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I've chatted with Michael a little. I know that he was here when I joined SMF, and have never heard of any problems. From what I can gather, Michael is a classy, honorable man. I, however, have not had a financial transaction with him.

    -----------------

I hope this helps a little. I know you're a very honorable man, and that the school would have to lose their mind to expect better, but as I said, I've never actually done a transaction with you.
