I break the alternators and starters down to individual components. Copper, aluminum housing, steel. I have been told that I am losing money when you figure in time to do that. The stators and armatures can be a big time suck.
Once I figure out a better and faster way to get the copper, I am going to patent the idea. J/K
I leave all the ends on insulated except for battery cables, I get the lead separated.
