    5 Trips and Counting!

Have you ever cleaned up another scrappers mess? That's what I've been doing for the last 2 evenings after work and I still have to go back tonight. I can only guess at weights right now but I already brought in 34 lbs of wire yesterday with another 20+ to go today, there is at least 500 lbs of heavy 1/4" steel, another 500 lbs of mixed tin and steel (flashing, random parts of things), table saw, 2 mowers, Al sheet, random tools and sockets, roofing supplies (rounds of nails, flashing corners etc).

The heavy steel my neighbour wants to buy for more than scrap $ (cha-ching!), and I'm pretty sure I can unload the nails and corners on a couple roofers I know. The mowers I sell to a guy that fixes them up. Even with prices in the toilet I should clean up pretty nice after I hit the yard on Saturday.

Everyone starts somewhere. I started at curbco with a Chevy Lumina. Could fit anything bigger than a dishwasher in it. I still made $$ though. If I had my trailer up and running it would have been 2 maybe 3 trips.

Finished up last night, what I could anyway. I died a little inside leaving stuff behind but I ran out of space at home and daylight. Still made 3 more trips last night. My backyard is now a scrap yard. I kept things sorted as best I could. All the heavy steel is already sold to my neighbour. $100 for about $75 worth and I only have to help load it in his trailer in my driveway, not load it by myself and unload at the yard.
