the other week i hit the JACKPOT on a coin op machine from a recently sold rental property. the new owner opend the one cash box $7 in it he let me have it said hopefully theres a nice profit in it for you when we couldnt get the other one to open. when i broke the cashbox with my sledgehammer $460+ in quarters and loonies poured out into the snow in my driveway it took me two hours to count and roll the coin lol first and only time ive ever had that happen but im keeping the smashed up cash box as a memento to that day lol

Nice payday the most I've found was $2.47 and a token for one free self serve car wash. My favorite things to scrap are heat pumps and tankless water heaters. COPPER COPPER COPPER

i found a $10 bill under one of the plastic dryer drum post things that turn the laundry once.... ive wrecked dozens and dozens of washers and dryers though

If I had to pick I'd probably say computer hard drives. On a general note, my most favorite would be anything worth money!

Grills - They're dirty but lots of AL and usually some SS. They go quick and removing any small pieces of steel from only takes a hammer and punch.

Water coolers... I get a ton of them and I get them for free....

I've come to appreciate wireless routers. 2 or 4 screws and out pops a nice clean green board.

Im gonna have to say aluminum semi trailers, rv's, mobile homes if i dont have to haul the trash off, and vehicles for the brass copper radiators, aluminum rims, batt's, and CATS.

When I was scrapping heavy equipment was my favourite. You would think it hard work but the large pieces cut off could be easily picked up with my loader or excavator for loading onto a tridom trailer parked close by.

The bigger the better for me. Not as much money, but the challenge is worth it.

The most enjoyable disassembly I have personally done was on F111 terrain radar units. A lot of precious metal contacts and shielding. I bought them for $50 each and after processing was able to extract just over $800 on average. They took awhile to break down, but we'll worth the effort.

I wonder what they cost the government when purchased new?

I worked on H-46 helos in the Marine Corps as an Avonics Tech. It was rumored that there was a large amount gold in some of the A/C gyros. Any experience with A/C gyros? Mike
