    Neighbor giving away scrap metal

My neighbor knows I scrap he is going thru stuff has a big pile of metal, I put off going over for a few weeks (5). I did not want to be a d ick for not taking all this "good metal" from him for free. Well I separated out the sheet iron took that in 280 lb. made a whole $4.62. Got lots of other stuff some brass, aluminum, motors and stuff. Also separated the steel... So was it worth it? Yes, neighbor happy he bought some beers as he was helping me load up. He spent more on beer than the sheet iron was worth! LOL and most likely the value of the whole load... Oh yes he is working on another pile now

That's because beer is the universal bartering item.

When prices were good, I bought my old boss a six pack of Bud for letting me use his company dumpster.
The next day he told me to bring my truck to the back of his casino where he loaded it FULL of old electronics...three trips to get it all, and he even got his wife to join in the festivities.

There's just something magical about beer...
