Taking a vacation
what i have found is make sure the shopping cart has been spray painted black and where a hard had and reflective vest, keep a clipboard and do it late at night and people will think you are auditing the cities recycle bins. i go around neighborhoods doing this and make **** money, but it is a good time to look for other scrap people might have laying around.

So where did you get the shopping cart??
And the recycling haulers don't mind you taking the cans out of the bins?? In some larger metros, its illegal to take alum cans and other recyclables out of bins put out for collection.
And I wouldn't believe a city worker doing recycling audits in the middle of the night especially with a black shopping cart full of cans.
Now I think I'll get some popcorn and watch what's coming

I don't know why painting a cart would matter, but you can purchase shopping carts in some cases. That said, I'd rather build my own cart- I can make a larger one, and cans aren't heavy. I've built wooden carts for the farm that can haul a lot more than a shopping cart ever could.
As for the rest, I'll watch....

I don't go for that concept .
But - no question cans are a good source of cash if you can get them .
It's my view with no disrespect to this individual , But he must look like a Nut with this system and thats why it works
Looking on the edge of homeless - or the edge of nuts you will find 99% of the police to leave you alone particular if they see you often
Spraying a cart black is asking for trouble ,
Borrowing a cart is one thing (and not believed )
but painting black is stealing and could be an issue
I have noticed old plastic carts are tossed to dumpsters often thats a good start
Other then that a recommendation to paint a cart black is not good advice
as you have NOT mentioned how you got the cart .
It's common knowledge Carts are not scrapped with out a note form source
your recommendation is theft of cart .

I thought about mentioning ds in my post but then had second thoughts. If its the same IP address as the guy that got banned on Sat., then I'd say, yea he's messing with the forum. I don't know if ds has either the resources or wear with all to use multiple IP addresses but I guess we'll see...

So let me get this straight, you take a shopping cart, paint it black so the police cant identify exactly where it is from. Then you go around taking cans out of the city recycling bins which in every city that i have ever been to that has a recycling program is called theft. Good luck with that. Hope you get caught pushing that loud shopping cart full of the cities cans real soon. Hope you are just pulling our leg. Guess we will know if it makes worlds dumbest criminals.
