I answered a CL ad from a guy that wanted to give away a little bit of metal. I usually don't bother because most are a 100 pounds or less of steel but this guy lso had a blueray player and a micro and because I was going to be in town, he wasn't far out of the way. Ends up that he lives in a big apartment building and dumpster dives and "hates to see stuff thrown away that might be worth some money" (right on recyclers!!). For some reason he doesn't break stuff down himself except for taking in Al cans. He said he usually has a couple of guys he gives such stuff to but they didn't get back to him. I gave him my contact info and said if there was anything he found that he wanted checked out on ebay just to give me call. It would be nice to have some eyes on the dumpsters of a big apart. building. Bonus is he's also only a few blocks from the cheapest Good Will in town for checking out items to re-sell. I wasn't too excited about the steel but we'll try to hide it from the wifey!!
