I had a pick-up last night. Miscellaneous electronics, nothing too spectacular except I got an IBM PCjr. Had never seen one before. It is complete with tower, monitor and small keyboard too!. Made in 1983. Lady said they used it a few times and has been in storage for years. I'll see if it actually works and then decide whether to keep or sell.

see if it works or if there is a resale market on Ebay before you tear it up....something that old should be of interest to collectors probably.

Just a note for those who snag vintage working machines like his, look into any add-on cards or other things that did not come stock with the machine. Even if the machine itself is common and maybe not worth shipping (the jr is worth shipping in my opinion) the accessories can be worth a decent amount on their own if you are lucky.

Agreed on add-on cards, and accessories like speakers, printers, or cassette readers- they can be worth more than the tower itself!

Looks like a fair amount of stuff is selling...including software. Depending on what you have, the parts might be worth more than the whole, but people are buying the entire computers too. See what works best once you know what you have (use Ebay solds for pcjr).

That pc has it's own special power plug
the internal "power supply" is actually an unshielded board a little bigger than a stick of ram and directly ported to the rest of the pc. The cord has a large brick that does most of the power conversions outside of the computer.
