OK I thank both of you for expanding my vocabulary, I have always cooked with gas, so I didn't know and now I do!

If they are in working order, and because they are ceramic, they could be used to dry material, such as ore concentrates. You might want to check a mining forum to see if any high bankers or small placer deposit miners might be interested in them. Re purposing equipment many times will make you a better profit margin, and it does the environment good too. =P

At the heart of science is an essential balance between two seemingly contradictory attitudes--an openness to new ideas, no matter how bizarre or counterintuitive they may be, and the most ruthless skeptical scrutiny of all ideas, old and new. This is how deep truths are winnowed from deep nonsense. -- Carl Sagan
