    E-waste porn. This came out of a weird projection tv. Enjoy!

    Ya i was excited when i found my first one. I added it to my collection. If i find any more, ill just add them to my CPU box for gold recovery.

    Hey thanks for the above posts.^^ When I got the tv I was excited, when I broke it down I was disappointed, When I took apart the e-waste I was re-excited.. The tv was 95% empty space.

    Yes...a DLP tv is just a higher resolution projection tv (well not quite that simple, it actually is a hell of a piece of engineering...100 of thousands of little mirrors that move to project the right light color (RGB)). But yes, it is a big box, a screen and a small amount of electronic components

    Did you happen to notice if the tv was working?
    those chips and boards sell for a whole lot more than scrap value if working.

    No. I did not test for working. It was outside next to a dumpster, half buried in snow. But still, I probably should have tested it. I don't know if I will ever learn. I did finally buy torx bits so I don't have to smash everything apart..
