My old home scrapped

When I was a lot younger I was in the Navy. The first and only ship I was stationed on was the USS Camden. It was almost as big as an aircraft carrier. It was around two years old when I came aboard. That was way back in early 1969. I lived on the ship for over three years making three tours to Viet Nam, the Phillipines and the Orient. Well it was decommissioned in 2005 and completely scrapped in 2008. All 53,000 tons cut up and turned into who knows what. The photos are the Camden new and being scrapped. (yes the ship in the background caught fire from a welders torch)
