There's a lot of good people doing good things, good stories of scrappers doing good, need to be told more often. - Thanks Hobo for sharing that!

Very nice of him. Maybe the yard he goes to will match his payout to also donate to charity. Thats good pr for them and more importantly more money for charity.

Depends on what I have. Mainly CFS or Desert Metals. CFS has a bonus punch program after 10 trips you get a + $.10 bonus pricing on the next load. So that's when I bring in a big load of mostly low value stuff, Christmas lights, coax cable, copper content, dirty alum, dirty steel, low grade circuit boards as the extra $.10 a pound helps a lot. Also different yards buy different items JVMetals buys propane tanks. Also lots of places buying plastic, glass and alum cans (but prices have been falling quickly).

I tried to PM you but my account is to new... I have a bunch of motherboards (~120lbs) hard drives and etc. Do you think I should ship them out to Ewasted or deal with someone locally? Thanks for you help

Also if you know any places buying abs that would help out alot! I have a bunch of plastic from all the monitors and computers I have been taking apart.

I mail mine, shipping avg. cost of around $.80 lb. to Ewasted from here. Just make sure to check price list and only send what will make you a profit. No luck on ABS so I put mine in the Blue Recycling bins, large ones at some city parks like Udall Park. And you need a few more posts to send and receive messages. Welcome!

I found a scrap yard locally that will pay .75 for the motherboards. Looks like that would be a better option than ewasted...

Went to CFS today, they offered .5 per lb

When you can send a PM send me the info on the scrap yard. Also do they buy low grade boards?

Not sure about low grade boards...

I don't have to many of them so I didn't bother asking.

What do you do with your power supplies?

sometimes I break them down or just cut the cords and turn in as copper content. Copper content pays bad but if you get the extra +$.10 at CFS it helps $.12 vs $.02 With prices so bad lately I am turning in more items in as is... There copper content is weird can be anything from Christmas light bulbs cut off cord, plug ends and such up to small electric motors. I do not give CFS the electric motors though.

Do you have a place that buys power supplies as is? If so do you have prices?
