    To day was a good day
    by the gross ton
    tin $159
    short $189
    Dirty AL .09
    starters .12
    starters AL nose .19
    electronic motors .16
    bat .24
    SS .31
    AL .41
    I had various weights of each and was paid $204

    holy crap, sounds like the prices are on a good rebound.

    i am close to sw PA, how far do i have to go to get those prices?

    Weisman's Owego NY but that have a Weissman's in Scranton PA but I bet your talking 250 as the crow flys

    Thier new shredder is opening in 2 weeks in new castle pa. Assume they will be buying at this location. Also being told that they have something in the works for greenfield (pittsburgh) pa.

    Nice run Copperhead. Its always interesting how some prices are similar, such as your Al, whereas your steel and EMs are crazy nice compared to ours. It sounds like that place in hungry for steel so great location for you. For some reason, electric motors around here are nasty low (2 cents a pound), 2 years ago they were 15 cents. I guess I tear apart more of them for at least some of the Cu.

    11 years ago I was thinking about moving to this area , since I was strong into the painting business I asked questions about the area and employment
    One counter guy said , good Jobs are hard to come by , To get my job I have 4 years collage in business just to be here !
    He said " This area is not the Goose that laid the golden egg"
    I think for scrap it might be
