leave cord or cut off on electric motors

Have few decent size motors from pumps and so on. I want to cut off. But what does scrap yard prefer.

Cords are insulated wire purchased by the grade established by your yard. Motors are purchased with out the cord. Cords go for a higher price than motors. Mike
