Headed to the Yard this morning...squeezed in 2 quick loads for a total of $302....For 2 hours of work I am calling this a stellar day! Even managed to get the yard to unload me with the "Magnet" Life does not get much better than that!

Congrats on your day. It can get worse if the guy operating the magnet drops it on your vehicle and that does happen. Read the sign when you enter the yard that stats they are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle. Mike

Was almost worried when the trailer slightly lifted off the ground..LOL
That is something I never understood. I can understand that about nails in tires, or someone scrapes the side of their truck or trailer because they got too close to a object or pile in the yard. But if it is cause by employee negligence, that should be something completely different and they should be responsible. Can any yard owners here chime in on this?
I have to admit the guy running the "Magnet" was like a fine tuned dancer....he even sucked up everything in the 5gals buckets I had leaving the buckets in place...to me that was just impressive! I suspect some operators and yards take a little more pride in what they do then others.
Plastic buckets?
have had some good ones and bad.
you want impressive watch a guy using the claw pickup a 18" square piece of 16 guage sheet metal laying flat on the deck off your trailer and not leave a mark.
some guys are excellent others crap. ended up having to replace leafs on a truck or two and live with some dents because of incapable and incompetent operators.
signs do say at your own risk and you can wave them off and hand unload. I do withy better looking trucks usually.
