    Nice haul yesterday!

I would like to thank everyone on the scrap metal forum! Yesterday i took in maybe half the weight i normally take in. Approximately 500 lbs total. Some of which was some uprepared #2 metal. I messed up on that one but learned my lesson. But everything else i learned here on the forum. And just with a little bit of goodies some motor weight, compressor weight and etc... I took in $175 thanks Scrap metal forum. This was a practice run. Im heading to the yard again tomorrow.

Thanks, and yeah and the three batteries helped out a little as well. The best part is i didnt short change myself on much other than insulated wire. And the unprepaired metal.

I'm going to piggy back on this thread.

I brought in my first load today also. Netted $98.00. 1500LBS of computer cases, and some coaxial.

Thanks also to everyone here, and the invaluable information you all provide.

    High-five Tinman, we rock!

    $98 / 1500lbs = .065/lb
That seems really low. What do you get per ton?

Thanks! And it's "WTA" White Trash Astronaut

That was the total. It was unprepared iron at $100/ton. Prepared iron is $200/ton Plus some other stuff. Went back the next morning with more wire and al, walked away with $198

That was my first run to the yard, and I wanted to check it out before I brought my higher priced stuff in. Great people, a lot better than the other company around here.

This was about 100 computers that I had broke down this winter, plus whatever I could scrounge. Total so far is over 600.00 and about $300 is going to be going to paying off some debt. WOOT!

That's quite the difference between prepared and unprepared. We get $200 unprep. and $240 prepped.
