Unfortunately didnt take picts of the load, mainly old cabinets. Commercial load. Wish prices were a little better but at least they have improved a little. Instead of being able to tip out, had to hand unload into 3 gondolas because that yard doeant have a truck scale.

Not all scrap yards buy them but there are plenty of pallet dealers that do. They usually fetch $1-$4 dollars ea, depending on quality, size and quantity.

We have a 30yd dumpster at work just for pallets. We pay out the nose to dispose of them...

You might want to consider looking for a dealer. Your area might differ, but I know there is a market. It depends on the size. Too large or too small no one might not want them.

Have not found area that does not buy pallets it comes down to the type. I cant remember what they call them ever since i got outa that area but the ones that have the forklift hole and some other common sized one they want. If they are odd sizes they are worthless

I've heard them called a "4-way" as in you can pick them with forks from any of the four sides of the pallet.

We sell our 40X48 pallets for a buck apiece the rest junk, broken, odd size are sent to one of our other yards, ran thru a rotto chopper and ground up, a mag on the belt pulls out all the nails, staples and steel, then dyed red, brown, black or left natural, dryed then sold as mulch.

I chop all the pallets i get for fire wood even go to my local pallet yard and they give away all the unsalvageable ones

A few years ago I looked into selling pallets. In Southern Maine I think I found one place that may buy them for like $1 each. The place was too far from me to make the drive worth it, but may be worth it for other Mainers who are closer. I forgot what town though, Sorry.
