    Good oldie band-saw

    Yup
about 9 months ago a customer gave me a Table band saw
with one of those type's of motors that use a pulley that I have scraped beyond counting
This saw is old gotta be 50 years old ??
When I got it I said this is the answer to the the trimming of AC Rad condensers
first time out I twisted the blade a bit and damage the dust guard & thought wow
50 years all in one piece and scrapping broke it in fast

After a few adjustments I'm happy to say it cuts the rad smooth and easy
I can cut off the copper elbows first than trim off the steel
The dust guard i'll fix with some liquid steel epoxy

    What a tool !!!!

They are a good tool to have. I bought one a few years ago to cut one side off of a transformer to remove the copper.

Vertical Band Saw is an AWESOME Scrapper tool, been using one for years.
For CU/AL radiators I found it BEST to cut off the elbows outside of the sheet metal plate EVEN if you have to bend a FLANGE back out of the way. Then just whack the plate with a hammer to remove. No copper or Aluminum lost and no small pieces to deal with !
My most used saw is just a standard 14" wood cutting with a good quality 1/2" metal cutting blade. The high speed works GREAT for aluminum and copper !
