Easy your half right, the older 12 valve cummins takes 2.5 (10 quarts). 16-18 sounds doable but I have a hard time believing 20+ mpg in any full size pickup. Doing all the mods on diesels are way more expensive, I can buy lots of gas and spark plugs for that. Not trying to sound like a hater, Corry and easy, but for me it don't make sense.

And the cummins take a 51607 (wix) oil filter. I've changed a bunch of oil in cummins and can't help but remember that.

My buddies new long horn 6.7L, gets 20 towing his camper, 5"straight pipe, egr delete, big air box, and a bully dog tuner, the diesel you buy has a huge part of it, I know up here in Canada no one advertises what grade the fuel is, the diesel from pioneer at 1.19L doesn't last compaird the fuel from petro cananada or shell, ill Glady pay an extra 10 cents a L for an extra 40/50km, I'm bad for only putting 20 to 40 bucks worth at a time, id do a test this week but my speedo senser in the transfer case is ****ed, my odometer hasn't worked for about 4000km

18 to 22 is typical, my truck gets better millage in town or on the highway towing then my 2001 Mazda tribute 4cyl, i'm running a little bigger tire but doesn't seem to effect it much i don't notice a difference, 265s on 16s. and there is a small lift in it for plowing snow. my friends truck gets 16 with a 10ft V plow on the front, on the highway. my rebuilt tranny helps to.

Doing mods on a 12 valve there are tons of things to do for free that will give you good power.
