Finally finished this on Friday! Boat is in the landfill and the Trailer metal is waiting to go to the scarp pile. In the video at the end you will see the Mast on the top of my truck hopping to sell on Craig's List.

In the video you will see me back my trailer up under the old boat trailer after I cut the tongue off the boat trailer, this was so I could winch the keel into mine with the help of some pipes laid down so it would roll on them as I cant even lift one end by hand. Still haven't had a chance to drill the keel to see if its lead filled or just a Cast iron/steel.

I can now say I cut up a boat. lol
I'm going to recycle the world.

Again a great video. Alternative uses for the mast: Flag pole. Short tower for a ham radio operator. You could google ham radio clubs in your area contact them and ask if you could advertise it on their web site. 73, Mike

If I did this video it would show me drinking way too many beers and pissing in the woods a lot! LOL Very cool project! Let us know the metal weights as you get them. Also do you know how many pounds of trash the fiberglass was? And I hope it is lead as well!!!!!

The fiberglass weighed 1020#, per the landfill scale. I'll update on the weight of the keel as soon as I can, my plate is a little fill for a while.

The wife has me trying to finish the new flooring in the house. I do that in the evening after my day job and of course it needs to be finished before I leave for a work trip to Japan on the 28th and returning Dec 18th.

Ok so I made time to drill the keel but I'm not sure what I found. The drill pushed out a fine dark grey material that was magnetic sticking the the bit. When I rubbed it in between my fingers it left a grey silver residue like pencil lead. The shavings reminded me of a toy as a kid where you had a magnet and would move stuff around to ut a beard and hair on a guys head.

What do y'all think it is?
