    Many of these are Aluminum, but I have not found a yard that will even pay Aluminum breakage on them. They have some kind of gel inside that is a pain in the ass. Most places do not want these at all, even in the shred pile.

    Can you sell them as pulls? I found these in the usual place. You probably won't get as much as OEM product but if you run across them frequently, maybe they would sell as a box load.

    I've wondered the same thing about the caps in microwaves. They don't seem to mind them in the lite iron (well, as part of a microwave). Is there any way to leave yours attached to something going in the shred?

    I seem to recall Mech at one point posting in regards to these kind of Caps. Now if I could only remember the post...grr.

    Man I miss Mech. An his ability to pull a link out of thing air for just about any post.

    I have used a 1pf capacitor in a sub speaker car audio setup, just because it was there to use.

    They 'could' be sold for that if the capacitor is big enough, but just to 'backyarders' putting in a 2nd hand setup.
    That's about the only situation I can think of.
