Scoty1, what you are calling pins are referred to as fingers. Old PCs have more value in gold scrap than anything else. Email pics to my gmail please.

I would guess 50lbs if this^^ could bring 1 oz of 24k gold? Possably 25lbs? (I know that is a big difference in poundage). Any other guesses?

I don't think you would get an oz of 24k gold out of 500 pounds of boards like those.

Ah yes, high yield boards. What old dungeon did you pull those out of?

I found some of those a while back. Had a few hundred pounds. I'm serious, I was like you when I found them. I thought I hit the money! But some digging told me they weren't worth the heart attack I was having.

It's fun, isn't it? Were kind of a gruff bunch here....don't let that scare you away. Get some posts under your belt and tell us what you're about. Sure you'll fit right in.

    Happy scrapping.

I will try to find time to email some pics. The pic floating around by rls0812 is no where near the same quality as some of the boards I have. From what I have been able to find out is its old 70's white board with one side covered by about 13 inches by 15 inches of gold plating thick enough that if you just cut under it with a razor blade you can peel the entire band off by hand. Its like the thickness of a very thin sheet of sheet metal. Hard to explain.

Sir, I wouldn't hold my breath. Everyone's been waiting on pics since 10/9 and I see Hobo has released the goats.

Mike, I was talking to wife this morning about house fires caused by people frying turkeys. There's usually a few fires every Thanksgiving in this area and I saw the first one happened around 11 am this morning. Fried turkey is awesome but people really need to be careful.

For all of you who have been waiting on pics..........Bacon wrapped turkey!
