Journey to a Clean House / Garage!

    Good afternoon All!
    (Few pics to come later)
This thread will be about my journey from a garage FULL of scrap, a basement filled with eBay "To-Do"s, and an upstairs filled with eScrap (now in boxes). I currently have a garage filled with 5-6 fridges, 50+ AC Units, and a variety of other randoms. Over the past couple years I acquired quite a bit of scrap while cashing in here and there but I am now at a point where its overflowing and I am ready to have my garage back! (2 winters without a garage have gone past!). At one point I was pulling in any/all scrap I could from the hotels, begging to get acquainted with eScrap, and I opened an eBay store all as supplemental income. I am now at a point in my main career path at which I no longer need the supplemental income and want my house/garage back! Plus my truck died a year or so ago and I am just down to my little trailer. PLUS! Housing prices in our neighborhood are up 30-40% due to a school being put in.. so we have a valuation approaching and it may be time to cash in on the home value.

I mainly wanted to post this publicly to give myself the inspiration to finally get this all cleaned up haha!

    SO! Where I am currently...
Garage (Pic to come) Basically full to the front with items needing to be broken down. Recently I brought in an $800-ish load which was mainly Wire and Copper Pipe that I had been gathering as well as a $50-ish load of ferrous. That amount was enough for my to get some hallways made through my junk and get it sorted out as well as get my table top cleaned off!

Upstairs / eScrap - This is almost done! Man... escrap... my tip to aspiring escrappers would be to ensure your number of units incoming is 100+/month and that you begin with an area large enough to sort all pieces out from the get go. I got myself in such a pickle by bundling board types then having to sort them out further once that bin was full. So... just start with a TON of boxes and label them as you go. I was able to get most of my escrap packaged up and I am now looking into getting it shipped out thurs/friday. I ended up with about 100 pounds of laptops, and 200-250 pounds of higher grade materials. Its heading to Ohio and I will update with some pictures/profits.

eBay Store - I have about 25% of my main inventory to get rid of and then a pile of items to post. The ebay store over the past few years has been incredible... it started by posting random items and being surprised they sold! Antique soap dishes?! Used cookware?! Tupperware?! Couldn't believe it, but nearly everything/anything put on ebay sold eventually.... some took over a year, but they just randomly sell! I sell small items for generally small amounts, but they sell consistently. I now know that if I ever end up moving into the woods I will be able to make enough money to support myself on a day-to-day basis with just a cell phone and ebay haha.

It is currently Oct 12, and BEAUTIFUL outside but here in MN that will change fast. I hope to get the outside done over the next few weeks and then move inside. Hopefully I can get everything wrapped up by the end of Nov. Then its onto X-mas!

Not much info to digest here at the moment but over the next few weeks I may have a couple questions on scrap types, post prices received, and overall thought process along the way.

I agree about the minimum of 100 units per month.....I keep storage areas full or printers and random electronics if the month is slow so I always have material to break down
