    part rant and part score

I'll start with the score first then I'll get to the rant. So today I get a couple calls to pick up metals. 2 of the 4 are bigger jobs. The one is a 2 load truck and trailer job full of aluminum, shred, and copper. The second is for a load or 2 of barn stantions and water cups. The third a stove and printer. The fourth is a pop up camper and brake rotors. Also got an email for pick up of laptops etc but I haven't got to that yet. Gotta love when you get a bunch of goodies like this.

Now onto the rant. I'm on my way to pick up the pop up and rotors when I decided to drive threw the county forest to look for party spots to pick up cans at. The one spot the kids partied at was full of burnt couches, beds, tires, and loads of other garbage just pilled out there. So I stopped to pick up some of the metal and thought what the hell is wrong with people to make such a huge mess. I grew up around this area and regularly hunt that area so it kinda struck a nerve with me. There's an area of solid garbage and half burnt stuff that covers about half a football field square. If I had the money id gladly clean it up but I don't so I grabbed what I could and will come back when there's more room in the trash dumpster. Anyone else here see or deal with people like this?

Whenever we go out in the desert to ride quads we come across illegal dumps like you mentioned. Trash and garbage all over the place. Tey don't even try to burn it. Sad that some think the desert is their trash dump. It is illegal to do it but with no enforcement in the area they get away with it over and over. Makes you want to bang some heads together.

Yeah for the most part the cops are either too lazy or stupid around here to catch the kids. But I guess for most of them even if they did get caught and fine/jailed mommy and daddy would pay their fine or bail. Rich kids who don't care is about it

Yeah, I suppose it can backfire. Then again, prisoners screwing up not adequately cleaning up a trashed woodland may not be the same thing as getting your state capital clean...

I would think that simple tire getting slashed is a small price to pay for using the prisoners to clean up trash. Still well worth the effort.

Yes I am angry about it. No I don't think all cops are stupid as I'm very good friends with a lot of cops and have family members in the profession however the couple county cops that actually get called out to locate the parties aren't the right ones for the job. And as for it being "rich kids" Idk what you call kids who's parent are loaded and give them everything.

We have had Dept of Corrections come trough with some crews and they did a great job cleaning up and clearing brush. I think the homeless camps have other issues they need to hire people with bio hazard certs

"Officials are looking for a company with trained staff and proper protective gear as human waste and dirty needles will likely be encountered."

    Camp under I-5 last month
