1001 uses wrecker other than scrap

Winter time and health failing. Havnt used wrecker much (junk cars) so decided to yank a tree out. It was rotted at the base. Still a hard pull but tree came down. Scrap trucks including wreckers have a 1001 uses. Final pull battery was dying so started getting slower. I dont have winch battery tied into truck for safety reasons like electrical fire. So charge it at end of day with battery charger. Also no chain saw was used. Strictly yank and pull like a rotted tooth. Also other parts of tree fell and destroyed my roof as well as a camper few months ago. So took preventive measure to insure no more failure.

P.s. This video proves the power of the 12k Harbor Freight winch.

I'll bet that branch to the head in the 2nd video felt good. 10 feet further away and you'd have been good. Lol.

That's what we call a widow maker.

Yes it is a widow maker. But I have some disturbed guardian angel that saved me several times over the years. I feel like a cat with 9 lives. Seriously though it didnt even hurt. I used the method of watching the tree shadow on ground to judge height. My father used to fall trees when I was in diapers. He taught me this. But I misjudged. Maybe late in afternoon and the shadow cast was a wee bit shorter. It was a educated guess and I was wrong.
