First step - New way Scrapping

I must be crazy , but I will make sense of it . The truck is nice , I NEED A TRAILER & all will be fine .
Once and for all have to blend the life of a scrapper with the need of dignity.
The gas MPG - I used the tried and true method of gas gage estimating, this truck sips
I drove speed limit and slow to achieve speed . I drove a lot , up to my home ,
back to town then here and there I put some miles down ,
notice very little gas gage movement from 3/4 to half tank . I put in $10 & I was shocked almost full . I had become all to used to putting in $10
& excepting the bottomless pit of gas thirst.
So dramatic was my response I put in the $10 with no thought I get into truck and see almost full
It was a Godly moment I was with my kids & was just looking at gauge with a feeling like is this happening ?
    I have a ways to go . I need money for a trailer .
For the moment I need find a yard that will pay well for
Computer stuff. From Binghamton NY I will drive out 250 miles
depending of paying price Any recommendations ?

I removed myself from the trash company I worked for as of 2 years ago
I find scrap non the less

First - congrats on the new truck.
Second - what do you have for computer stuff and give us an idea of what you consider to be good prices. I'm 174 miles from Bingamton. I could combine your stuff with mine. I'd have to be a little lower than the buyers on here to cover my shipping (I typically pay about 10 cents to ship) and make a few percent. PM me if you want to discuss this possibilty.

Not sure what to think.........I always envisioned CopperHead as the ultimate curb shopper (NOT A BAD THING I HAVE DONE MY SHARE)......I had images of him with the beat up old scrap truck loading 1000lb file cabinets like a SUPER HUMAN SCRAP MAN.......Not sure what to think now.......Does that truck have a bed cover?.......I now see him as a fine upstanding citizen but will he continue to wear that "S" on his chest which denotes "SUPER SCRAPPER"

Lets see , Ok first I still have a beat up Ranger & that was the truck I used for the recent file cabinets . From my past I learned what scrap work does to a truck so
I will make sure I have a classic scrap truck ,The ranger wile not my dream type of scrapper truck was $150 & could not pass up on that .it's a great hunter truck with great heat and 4X4 that works perfect still in time I'd like to find a Ford Chev or Dodge 2 x or 4X4 8 foot bed with most important a V6 or in-line 6 the V8 is unnecessary for for hunting Till hat opportunity shows up the Ranger is the the nasty scrap truck
For now Im still rough and tough not to forget my job 4 days a week I load and remove an average of 4000 pounds of trash into and out of a pickup truck each day wile driving 125 miles each day in and out of truck for each home.
I do find scrap and wire & Can's each day . I figure I'm up to 2.5 million pounds of trash in the last 3 years of work maybe more .
I had reasons for this readapting another is my 4 kids I needed some thing safe to take them places I can still get the typical safe scrap like TV's Vac's Car Bats short steel & more but if I see opportunity for nasty big stuff in dumpsters I will have to go home to get the Ranger or the future Trailer .
Super Scrapper is still here but I did get a Clark Kent suit and tie ( proverbial ) But no need to wonder I'm always looking for Crime No I mean Scrap

I want to exceed Rock away recycling in NJ - naturally I have whats inside computers
But I have to admit I don't know enough about the computer scrap ( I know core scrap yard stuff .)
Like what MB's have more value I can't afford to learn the hard way & be taken advantage of.

Yeah rockaway has not impressed me since ive been down here, poor prices and not accepting cans kind of turned them off to me. Been looking for a new outlet for cans, I know of one other yeard within 20 minutes that takes them

    My offer still stands.

Yes, I will beat Rockaways prices on computer scrap.

According to mapquest, my shop is 33 miles further than you going to Rockaway and well within the 250 miles you mentioned.
