An Ode to the one Ford Ranger

When you scrap long enough there are times you have an auto that puts in some time . It's just you and the Truck or car making money .Most often a $600 truck can do well for a number of years . But the time comes to go the way as scrap also , regardless how long and many trips it made to the yard as if its maker would never come . This Ranger was a transition truck not big enough but it sure tried .I got the Ranger during a time my Dodger needed too much work & fuel . The cold weather came in and I needed Heat and 4X4 . This truck conqueredthe winter . It ran like crap most of the time & some times it ran so perfect as if just to show you the truth . No doubt a 4.0 Ranger is a fun truck.

Well it did it's last task . It had trouble climbing up the ramp for the trailer - It just could not do it .Then I said dude ...... 4X4 Low . I put shifter handle to neutral turned the dial to 4X4 Low The old Ranger in low - went up easy and for the last time . I shut her down and loaded her to a gross weight of 5400 LBS and change , to the yard I went , weight and the cats net me over $400 I had some copper ,
& motors and got my total up to $475. A good day .
Be well Ranger and thanks for all you did for me
