My Ram D 100 calls for 195 - 75 - 15
For now I have 235 75 15 from original owner
(and they need replacement)
Wile I like the larger size for what it offers , the larger in diameter tire does cause a taller gear ratio . The slants are a bit edgy in the power curve .
I feel the 235's enhance that edgy quality .
I suspect the factory recommendation 195 - 75 - 15 is the way to go with the slant 6
The smaller size tire will offer lower gearing ,
so gear choice is less sensitive to avoid some lugging of motor .
I could go 205 or 225 as a compromise
An advantage to using the factory size tire is it will lower truck down by 2 or so inches
& for loading a heavy fridge , washer and stuff like that
as I tip in and leverage it in
any lowering of inches of a tail gate will only help
Any one have any first hand experience with this situation
