Well that's all great finds. I hope those TV's are a lot easier to recycle down there in South Australia, and I hope you are handling that Freon properly.

I had to retire to have enough time to scrap.

The TV's are a 30 second to one minute pull for me with a power drill. I just open them up, take the guts, and put the top back on. If they are tiny tv's ill just throw them in and deal with them when I get home. Otherwise, I never pick up CRT's, I just gut them out on the spot and separate later.

I'm going to save my breath on this one. I'm sure someone else will say what I'm thinking.

Nope... he's probably that same guy around here that cuts the cord, bashes off the yoke & leaves me the degaussing cable. I don't want to tell him he's leaving the easiest part.

But Mthomasdev, it has "Experienced Scrapper" under his name so he must be doing it the correct way.......right?

I questioned a coworker once about how he was doing something. He proceeded to tell me how he had 25 years experience in what he was doing.

I told him that that just meant he had been doing it wrong for 25 effing years.
