New high dollar amount for one load.

I'd set a record last trip with a load of copper and brass - $750. Today, set another record - 2520 lbs of car parts and more copper, aluminum, brass and a couple of catalytic converters - $957.41.

    Today's load:

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Not broken. That's how it came new. Has a sliding back window. Never really noticed how dark it is. Just noticed that I'd made a mistake - it was 1520 pounds; not 2520.

Hard to tell. Some of the copper is stuff I've had around a couple years. Other stuff, I got this month. Some stuff I've still got is recent, too. I don't haul in any order; just get a load together and haul it in.

Ive heard catalytic converters are good money but ive never taken them. What do they pay there and how do you have to prepare them?

You don't do anything to prepare them unless you mail them to a buyer. Then you cut the pipes as short as possible to save mailing costs. Value varies greatly, by type. They go from a couple dollars for an "aftermarket" to a couple hundred dollars for exotics. You need to be very good at identification before buying cats. I thought I was pretty good and still misidentified an Aftermarket as a Large Ford because rust masked some marking. "Education costs".
