Can't see the pic. Are the privacy settings set to 'public'?
Yep can see it now. It certainly looks like it but will defer to those with more expertise. If it is you'll get a significantly better price than mobo I think.
is there a way i can upload a vid. to show how i am breaking down my pc's . So that i can get some pointers on what i may be doing right and what i am doing wrong. Thank you Butch
For sure you can upload a video to any sharing site and link to it here. Before doing that though there is an extensive library on this site in the computer recycling section that goes in some detail about what you're doing. Do a little reading there and you'll greatly increase both your efficiency and returns from the work.
Nah its Copper tracing. Its just the colour of the varnish over it. I have never seen Gold plating on a normal motherboard, even the Solex one is Copper.
Mostly I see Gold plating on sat dish boards, the side strip boards on flat screen TVs and the odd little board, like beside some touchpads on old laptops, security alarm keypads.
I agree completely. First time I saw that I thought "hot **** me and the misses is gonna go get us some of dat dare fancy Italy food from the garden of olives" then I scratched off some varnish and noticed it was all copper. I asked the woman to heat me up only one pack of ramen that night.
The Kiwi answered.
Gold can be found in many of the oddest things in my experience.
An of course you can post videos of you breaking things down. I'd suggest you do it via Youtube tho. The other sharing sites have become rather difficult. Then again...I don't do videos so I could be totally wrong.
Good luck, an I could see the pic fine when I clicked on your link.
Sirscrapalot - No quotes for the time being. sorry.
Well I took a look and it looks like to me a motherboard, possibly large socket. You have been given some great info as to read through some of the posts about ewaste break-down and then take a look at the buyers section for a buyers price list as to how to sort. There is a great buyer rather close to your location, he is in Ohio.
Happy scrapping
