Sometimes.... cooperation must be DEMANDED, not REQUESTED.

I HATE these Dells with the slidy release things on the mobos. Darnit, I removed all the screws, let go already... Let Go.... LET GO!!...

    OK... you asked for it.

    LET GO NOW!!!!!!!!!

I've been using my mini sledge a lot more lately I love it, that's what scrapping IS ALL ABOUT YEAH! ahem 'scuse me. but really it's so useful.

    sledge plus vise grips

sledge plus allen wrench for loctite-screws

sledge plus gentleness for breaking down easier stuff like a gazelle and people saying "dang" or "you came prepared"

    sledge plus big chisel

do a flip with one like a regular hammer if you want to feel like the boss that you are (if you're self employed)

    ok im done

One load I picked up several years ago had over 200 of the "clam shell" style Dells. I really learned to hate them. Mike

Just finished up a Mac G-3, G-4, and IMAC. Miserable things to break down. It's no use to pound on em' because they were (over)built to survive a nuclear attack.

Had a bit of fun last week. One of the printers up in the office was driving everyone nuts because it was just one problem after another. They bought a new one and asked me to haul off the old. I told em' .... just pitch it off the second storey deck ... you'll feel so much better ! They were all much too shy and reserved to do such a thing so i pitched it for them.

Quickest way to the green board .... right ?

    Reading is FUNdamental.

Opening the case really is easy.

Getting the mobo to slide over & release from the hooks sometimes isn't.

That's when percussive cooperation enhancement comes into play.

You might not recall.... I've had a few of those clamshells before: https://www.scrapmetalforum.com/gene...tml#post254052
