Thank you for making my point Copperhead AKA.

Whether you like Trump or dislike him, he has fulfilled his promise to take office in an unconventional manner, make decisions in the best interest of America, and be unpredictable. Trump has lost over 400 million dollars of net worth since becoming president because many of the regulations that have been removed were actually to his benefit. Why would a real estate magnet propose increasing the cost of the raw materials he needs to continue to build his empire? As a business man he purchased steel and aluminum from China instead of the US mills because it was cheaper. From a business standpoint it does not make sense. The tariffs will hurt his empire, not help it. He is using it for the ability to negotiate for the United States, not his business interests.

The Uranium One scandal was just another example of those in power abusing the power for personal gain at the expense of the interests of our country. History is full of such examples: Jackson's Indian Wars to secure land for development, Harding's Teapot Dome Scandal, Grants Whiskey Scandal and Credit Mobilier Scandal which actually started during Lincoln's term (there were actually ten scandals during Grants terms). The point is this, although the tariffs might cause controversy (something Trump loves) he has actually made a decision that will hurt his empire and not help it. Why?

I stand by my earlier statement that the tariffs will not affect scrap metal very much. It will instead influence the other three legs of the table much more.
Give back more to this world than we take.
