Now that we got the newb in place the old unit set in the parking lot...time to make it go away. It would make a nice storage unit once gutted as the main shell is 23ft x 7.5ft x 7ft tall, once I cut the front section off where the compressors are. It was balls to the wall the first day to get all the good stuff out before dark...so no pics on that. Three coils 90in x 60in x 3in and couple hundred pounds of CU and tub o wire.
Winch was a must as the platform with the compressors I cut away weighed about 1400 pounds.

WoW!! Way out of my league...
Hey KZ if you're looking for that shell to go away, let me know. Or if you get another big one like that. I'd be willing to pay a bit more than scrap value for it.
Going to be a busy week coming up so a little OT today to get the shell outa there. Stripped it down to minimal support and pushed it over and cut them in half...Winched the panels up on the trailer and done.
As always you are very professional in your breakdown and loading. Keep the projects and pictures coming.
Give back more to this world than we take.
Full knee replacement finally done about a week ago. Was able to ditch the walker for a cane after a week and don't really even need that around the house. Got about 6 inches of snow the other day but got my wife set up with the blower and I did what I could using the walker. Off the meds so first solo trip tomorrow in the service van to go to a class to keep a HVAC certification in check.
Are those staples metal?
Do they go in shred or made of something special?
Get well soon!!
Thanks John...hoping they're at least SS!
It's not a tough guy scar if you have to roll up you trouser leg to show it off.
I'm glad you are recovering so well. 73, Mike

WOW!
A friend of mine had both knees done at the same time. 2 week later he came to work with just a cane and he said he really didn't need it any more. I't amazing what they can do these days.
I read this thread quite a few times and didn't respond. I used to love the HVAC jobs working for a local college - the scrap was great from the rooftop units all the way down to the PTAC's we used to do. Good luck on your recovery!
Glad your surgery and recovery are going well for you. Joint replacements contain a great deal of non-ferrous metals. With two knee and two shoulder replacements I feel like a walking scrap yard.
I am glad you are mobile without the walker and off the meds - I hope you completely recover soon.
I am not far and you have my number if you need any help with anything.
Wow, some serious stapling!! Heal up fast!!!
