Got what I consider a good score yesterday, so feeling a little better.
I picked up 3 batteries, 7 BMW 3 series car doors, 2 aluminum heads, cams, radiator, starter, alternator and random scrap metal + aluminum scrap besides the car parts from a BMW mechanic/enthusiast that used to be a a part time scrapper on the way back from picking up an I6 ford engine block, head, crank and alternator/starter etc... Got some aluminum chairs too.
Although it was all strapped down really well, it would have been good to have those wood boards for the sides of my truck or a trailer cause it was a hair raising ride home even if it was a short ride, and I have a shaven head.
So far just the scrap was 860lbs @ 100/ton, batteries were 176 lbs. @ 15 cents/lb.
I am waiting for another yard to open to sell all the aluminum with my brass, copper and stainless collection.
