There was a heating block setup for DNA

When I first figured this out a few years ago. The PTC machines were starting to sell second hand thru auctions.
Might get one for $50-$150. Original price.. hmmmmm. $3000-$8000. Before gold went 'High' circa year 2000+2

Studious investigation into manuals would show which units were solid Gold blocks & which were Gold plated solid Silver.

The last time I looked at auctions, a lot were missing the blocks.

This is the other 'Holy grail'

    "So what?" You say.
That Stainless Steel looking shot glass is made from 100% platinum...
Hey thanks for the tip. I'm not the one who buys the medical stuff that auction but I do get all the non-working stuff from a friend of mine who buys it. I wasn't even thinking about precious metals in this stuff. I'll definitely have to do some research and keep my eye out for suspicious looking metals

Not sure if the bolt is for mounting the computer somewhere or for lose prevention. I've never seen one with a bolt like this besides the 3 I picked up today.

A few auction buys. The transformer turned out to be aluminum and so are about half the transformers in the street lights. Wondering if I can get away with adding the big transformer to alu breakage?

I do like to pick up this kind of stuff when it goes for real cheap. When I am sick of computers, pounding copper winding from a big transformer is a good break in the action.

When loading this up I snipped the cords before I realized what it was. I think i'll put a little into this piece to see if I can get it going. I assume just the blade is worth a few bucks.

Here in AZ we have a lot of gem and mineral collectors so I think it will sell easy on Craigslist.

That’s quite the score there. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get $200+ for it especially since it’s a lortone.

Been too busy to think about posting a whole lot. Got around 325ish core 2 duo for international buyer who picks them up.

Really couldn't be happier with the deal because they buy them as *untested* and I don't have to think about shipping.

Still breaking down scrap CPUs but that might be changing soon. The only way I see myself breaking down everything I currently have is if I hit a serious slump.

I think to start phasing out the breakdown of CPUs i'll start sorting out the CPUs with colored mobo and scraping those as 80% complete CPUs no ram no HD.

Well despite the low prices I have been hauling in a lot of my "piles on the outside" except for the copper. I just can't take what they are offering for this low grade #2 wire.

But ya know...Happy wife happy life.

The area looks like a royal mess but It's basically ready to be re organized. Up until about last week the whole area in the pics was stacked 6ft high with scrap.

Taking a break from refurb/resale to get the scrap area in order. Even though I am making more on the resale stuff, scrap is a crucial part of it and I have been way to scattered with it.

The new fencing I have up by my computer stacks is going to encircle my entire scrap area. But first I need to clear the area so I can level it out with a tractor.

The vision is to have one side of the area lined with IBC totes for material that is ready to sell and the other side i'll keep CPUs/electronics/other scrap that needs to be cleaned/broken down on pallets.

Work space/bench in the middle so everything comes in on one side gets sorted/broken down in the middle and sorted into containers on the other side.

    So I found 2 of these HP Envy Bang&Olufsen Laptops (i7-6500u, geforce940 gpu, 16gb ram, 17in touchscreen)

They were sitting nicely on top of my computer bin at my scrap yard. I have been buying this yards scrap computers for about a year now.

I don't know how they ended up in the bin with zero scratches seeing as how most of the CPUs are pulled out of the shred pile and thrown in the dumpster for me.

I check the bin every time I am at the yard just to see if there is anything worth saving. If I pick anything good out I'll pay well over scrap price for it.

For instance I saw a pallet of rained on CPUs I wanted. I figured out where I wanted to be price wise on them, weighed them then divided the price by the weight and came up with $1.40 a pound.

I could have certainly bought them for $.25 like I normally pay but there was good/easy money to be made from the i5 and i7 processors.

Anyway...Long story short I handed the owner $50 and told him I pulled 2 nice laptops from the bin. He was happy and I ended up with at one working laptop that is selling for $4-600 on ebay.

Just need to replace the keyboard. Turns out the second laptop was probably used for parts because it was missing the same key that the good one is missing. I assume a failed attempt at fixing the good one.

At the moment I have just one pig that desperately needs to be butchered but there is no room in the freezer. Not the worst problem to have lol

Quick question if anyone is out there. These fire hoses all have brass fittings on the end of the hose correct? Anyone want to guess the weight of these brass ends?

The pics are from the auctions website. I ended up not buying them. There was 10 of these totes full. I was considering buying them all but I dont want to deal with getting rid of the hoses. Only 2 of the 10 lots sold so maybe i'll check them out in person and then bid on them if they come up for auction again in 2 weeks.

Yes I do castrate them. I was instructed by a 16 year old girl at the feed store on how to do it. When I was saying "I don't know if I want to do it or hire someone" she basically tells me to grow a pair and do it myself lol.

Before I started castrating the males just ended up as suckling roasters. The worst part is the Sow. She just about jumped the hag panel a few times hearing her babies squealing.
