Landed our largest ever account today

Well thanks to some phone calls, emails and well placed letters we managed to land the largest account we ever had today.

Sadly I have been down all week with a bad case of bronchitis and I had to rely on my employee for a lot of things. Against my better judgement I sent him to this company today so I could rest for one day. My wife strongly suggested (by way of the evil looks) that I handle the situation in this manner.

Anyway, within a few hours we were the new electronics recycler for this company and they were so impressed with my employee and how he handled things that they have agreed to send everything from all of their US locations to the nearby plant on a monthly basis.

When my employee weighed in the load from today we had a total of 12,000 pounds with more to come. This certainly made my day. To top it all off I received a personal email from the contact at the company complementing my choice of employees and thanking me for one of the best meetings that he has ever had.

Now all I need to do is get back on my feet and things will be great around here.

Thanks everyone...It was a great day, outside of coughing up a lung every few minutes...When I first met Chris (my employee) he was cutting my grass...He worked for his grandfather cutting grass throughout the summer. I noticed right from the beginning that he had one heck of a great work ethic. He would cut 16 yards in one day all while doing side jobs as a scrapper and mobile home contractor. I started talking to him about what I did and he was hooked. Since that time he has been invaluable to me. No matter what I ask of him it gets done. I could not have asked for better.

It goes back to; your gonna get out of it what you put into it. In other words, if you take the time to meet with people, or hand out cards, or laying out an advertising campaign, you should see your "business" start to take off.
