    It's all good ... whatever works in your situation.

    Take a look at that little glass nipple on the end of the picture tube. Drape a towel or blanket around the picture tube ... just to be on the super safe side. Snip that nipple and that will slowly allow the picture tube to lose it's vacuum. It's safe to work on after the hissing stops. No chance of the picture tube imploding. Maybe put a little piece of duct tape over the nipple before you ship it out.



    The other thing to watch for are the capacitors. They can store an electrical charge that will give you a pretty good wallop. One of the guys here was doing a breakdown on the tailgate of his pickup when he had a mishap with one. The tailgate was a little below waist height if you know what i mean ?

    He got quite a tingle but definitely not the good kind !

    They used to call him Hoss but now they call him Pony ?
