    Cruisin' For Scrap

I cruised around here for about an hour for scrap and whatever else looks good. I don't go dumpster diving or take out of trash, but just grab what's next to them. If I spend more time, I can easily fill my truck most nights. Pretty often, there will be a giant mess around a dumpster where someone had no time to move out, or just left everything in their apartment.

Tonight, found a sealed unit just hanging out by itself with a couple feet of copper on it.
Down the block I found a nice pile of extrusion, maybe 20 lbs.
Picked up one pretty large and one tiny window a/c unit.
    One small microwave.
A nice solid half-sized dresser that will sell for $20-40
A nice large mirror with an ornate frame.
A couple cans of paint my wife will like.
A baseball glove, a pedestal fan, a few bags of cans and bottles, a weber grill, and a bunch of speaker wire.

I passed on a couple bed frames as I didn't want to mess with them tonight.

On top of ebay and scrap metal sales, I will probably have a garage sale once in awhile. I'm accumulating a lot of things for that.

Decent short run tonight Be safe out there!

Nice work! We always like pixs if you can figure out how to post them nowadays.

Well, this week some fluids started dripping under my truck, enough that it worried me. Seemed like a mix of things including oil. I'm no mechanic, so brought it in to be checked out. 1998 F-150 blown head gasket.

This with other issues with it that are pressing might end up putting this truck into non-op. All of these repairs cost more than the truck's value. Bad timing as I'm just trying to get back into things. I don't have enough to cover something like this right now, so we'll see what happens.
