Heres one for you, I guess there's a sucker made every day in this guys opinion.

"I have a pile of miscellaneous items that needs to be removed from my backyard.
The pile is NOT entirely metal. There are many metal items including a non-working clothes dryer & old radiator cover.
However, there are also many non-metal "junk" items as well.
You will HAVE TO take the entire pile in order to get the scrap. I don't know how you'll dispose of these other items, you will have to take care of that.

I would like these items gone by Saturday if possible.

Please do not request the scrap metal only. If you can't take the whole pile you can't take anything.

It's probably a total of 2 pick-up truck loads. I will ask that you take the non-metal items first, then come back for the scrap metal to ensure you take everything.

If you have the ability to dispose of these other items I'm sure you can make a decent amount on the metal - there is quite a bit!

When emailing please leave a phone number. I will not email you back. I will only call you.

    Thanks!!! "

    Dumpster Diving (Hancock NH)

Starting Monday (8/1) at 9 AM - we will be putting things in a dumpster at 33 Main St, Hancock, NH - come from 9 AM to 6 PM. Items IN dumpster only - back of dumpster is down so easy "walk in". Old appliances, scrap metal, some broken furniture, electronics.... posters etc... (33 Main St is the Hancock Inn - dumpster is one the side). No phone calls

Jeesh. I think this guy secretly wants to see guys diving in the dumpster. At least it's a walk in right? If it were me I'd run the add stating everything will be next to the dumpster until stated time and then it goes. No phone calls please? I didn't see a phone # listed. Is there a working phone in that dumpster?
That just gave me the best laugh I had in weeks!! If that ad got posted around here that dumpster would look like Times Square on New Years Eve!!

On a Side note For me I have it figured out every Mile I go to pick something up it cost me $.44 in gas per Mile. That is Just Gas

You read my mind. The guy is 30 miles from me. I figured he said the Drier and radiator cover because that is all he see's in the pile. He probably figures that they are worth a ton and somebody is going to make a lot of money from it. LOL

I did email him with my phone number asking him for pictures of the pile. That was 2 days ago and he still hasn't contacted me. I guess he found a sucker to take the mess. Problem is, with all the fly by night scrappers out there, most of the pile will end up down at a dead end road illegal dump. I hate people like this. Its still listed so I am guessing nobody has bit on his offer yet.

Judging by spelling, I'd also wonder about the person who posted this.

He probably stole some wiring from somewhere and the yard reported him. Now he feels like they did him wrong and wanted to let everybody know about it. What a moron.

I have been getting a few call but all have one computer and want $50 even though the add clearly states I buy scrap computers, nd they want me do drive 50 miles to pick it up. I also get at least 3 calls a week from the same voice asking what I pay for this and that. its the guy a couple miles up the road who also decided to open a scrap yard but obviously dosent have any Idea what hes doing, lol he still dosent think i KNOW WHO HE IS.

That idiot was me in my youth with a rental saw, funnier than all get out, long driveway one tree leaning over the driveway while the other in an opposite direction. Climbed the tree tied a rope half ways up then started a cut to put some weight into it figuring that when I cut the one over the driveway they would both fall into the field - wrong.

Home owner comes out saying here drier quit, I say power line is down she says OK I'll phone hydro, I tell her the telephone is out next she says that she will drive over to the neighbors, sorry you will have to walk a tree is blocking your driveway. Took the power lines and telephone down, split an apple tree in half clear to the ground , took out the barb wire fence then had the chain saw bar pinched.

Yup chainsaw for hire, Homelite rental thoroughly screwed, while she was over chatting up the neighbors and making that call to hydro to repair the lines, I managed to free to saw, tossed my tools into an old 56 Bettle I had for wheels and beat it out of there before her old man came home. Never went back to ask for my pay.

That goes back a very long time in history. See even I'm not perfect.

    Regards
    Gustavus

Since Interstate batteries posted they are paying $10 for each dead battery, it seems everyone & their dogs are out there trying to hoard or mooch whos ever batteries for next to nothing! REMEMBER INTERSTATE BATTERIES IN BOISE IS PAYING $10 FOR EACH BATTERY!! Why would you settle for anything less? I have a bunch we have aquired over the years and I will be dog gone it I will sell these to these scamming jerks! They are as bad as the free or paying up to $200 for your junk vechiles. Most scrap or pick apart places will pay you from $400-$800 per vechile you bring in!!!!

Pays to know these things. So sellers beware! Scrappers/Scammers/leaches the secret is now out! I will be flagging you from here on out!
