    Lucky Haul Today

Its funny that the day after I make a post about considering quitting going out looking for stuff from curbco, I get a great haul like this the very next day. I am taking that as a sign to keep going with curbco and that it will pay off in the long run, just wanted to share my finds from about 1hr of curbco this morning before work.... Pics are in the imgur link but the main highlights are:

    https://imgur.com/a/E1YNSq3

    7x intel i3 all-in-one computers
    1x intel pentium all-in-one computer
3x "older" PC towers (not intel i-series/generation, will likly be scrapped)
    1x intel i3 pc towers
    3x intel i5 pc towers
    4x intel i7 pc towers
1x intel xeon workstation pc tower
1x box of random chargers/plugs for computers and dis-assembled small pc
    echo brand weed eater
    homelite weed eater
    craftsman gas brush cutter
    electric air compressor (car size)
    air compress (comercial grade/large)
treadmill to take apart and scrap
    various other metal scrap objects

The only unfourtunate thing is they all were out overnight in the rain so gotta hit them with the air gun and let them sit for a bit to dry before trying to boot up any of the PCs. All the PCs have no harddrives, and about half have no ram. But the ones that do have ram have 4GB-16GB per tower

Hello kss . I’m new to the forum and do more reading then posting trying to learn the tricks of the trade I guess. Anyway I read your post last night . I have to tell you I give you credit for keeping track of your expenses I would bet most do not . I’m close to retirement and definitely going to give scrapping a go . The first thing I did was make businesses cards up and drop them off at all the auto and truck repairs shops on may way to work . It’s already paying off I get called for picking up truck and trailer brake drums which is adding up quick . I already discovered curb shopping not going to pay my expenses. Just to much competition in my area . I’m glad you made a great score and hope you make the most of it . So with that said keep digging and don’t give up . Happy scrapping and stay safe .

Since I have a full-time job, and can only do this on the side, I do not know if I would be available enough to be able to answer calls and immediately go get things, but my goal is to get some clients that I can have regular pickups from (like, every Friday night or every first monday of the month, for example). I admit I have not yet put in enough time to trying to market myself for this though yet, but business cards seems like a good idea!

And yea keep track of expense and such seems like a requirement, how else would I know if im making any money or not?! lol.

My book keeping is very basic. Just a google doc with the columns:

date desc to/from expense credit milage

That works out well enough to track everything I need to do my taxes and is easy to use. I do not need this to pay any expenses or anything at this point, its just a hobby, but I would love to make it more profitable obviously. Thanks for your input!
